Chapter 2
Daily life. The goal is always to wake up a BIT better than yesterday.
I want to be a better friend, a better influence on my nieces and nephews, be better at my dreams and goals… and of course be that increasingly better at cleaning too.
Have you noticed that when you clean for YOURSELF for two hours, you can look around and say “I cleaned for THAT long!?“
It’s often because we are simply cleaning up daily debris.
When I clean for my clients, I know that many of you have already done this step for me. The debris step.
No WONDER a two hour cleaning from me gets so much CLEANING done… give yourselves a pat on the back!
Oh, and if you aren't able to clean up “enough” before I come… don’t worry. I WON’T turn you away. Just expect it to take me longer to get the main cleaning and polishing of your house finished. If you wanted light switches and baseboards done, you may even want to plan an extra hr or two.
No judgement from me. But I once cleaned for a hoarder.
She had no space to walk. No spot to sleep. No spot to eat. And no spot for her cat.
I remember doing a LOT of work there. And a LOT of sorting and picking up. But each 3 hrs spent cleaning for a hoarder only made a LITTLE dent. And, when I returned each month, the tiny space I’d dug out was gone again.
If this is the sort of space you have, I am NOT afraid of it.
Just know that it will take much longer to get to your goal of a clean house. Sorting is its OWN category of cleaning, isn’t it.
Ha. This whole soap box about debris was inspired by my own NOT PERFECT house today. Now it is my turn to ask you not to judge ME ha. I have been busy-(like you all)- and I realized there was laundry and picking up and sorting to do.
Now, after two hours of solid walking around my own house, it is mostly done… and I still have the house to clean.
It is SOOOOO much fun to clean for YOU. Sometimes I forget my own space. He he. I think I will schedule a house cleaning for myself this week too. lol
